Ukraine has hidden airbases that look like small commuter air strips with small hangers. They have known for years that Putin was keeping a eye on Ukraine. Whoever rules the air will rule the ground except for civilian forces. Russia had to pull its troops out of Afghanistan in 1989 and was humiliated by the Taliban much like Biden today. Putin is always going to make threats and knows Biden's weakness. Russia threw the rule book out the window when it decided to invade Ukraine. The threat of nuclear war has been on the chess board. The sooner Biden grows a set of balls the better off Ukraine will be. Nobody want WW3 including Putin. If he sent a nuclear bomb on Ukraine it would be the last thing he would ever do.
