Position Title: General Plant Helper Wage: $18.54/hour, $18.84/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 6am-2pm Mon-Fri, 2pm-12am Mon-Thurs Meet a dead end at your job? Looking for more fun and excitement? Interested in learning about new stuff? Then this might be the job for you! We’re hiring for a General Plant Helper in Two Rivers, WI. This is an associate to hire role on 1st/2nd shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Will be cross trained in all departments - Assist the press op - Band wooden materials - Operate panel machines - Package products as directed by coach - Conduct finishing on projects - Assist in shipping; prepare orders for shipments - May use sanders clean off wood texture - Stain wood products and using staining gun - Quality inspection of all projects as assigned by coach Requirements: - High school diploma - Stand for prolonged periods - Hand/eye coordination - Twist, lift, and bend entire shift - Lift up to 50lbs by themselves occasionally - Assist lifting up to 100-150lbs; occasionally as a 3-4 person team - Possess standard physical dexterity - Receptive to departmental supervision and instruction - Ability to advance to more skilled jobs - Use of hands tools; nail guns, sanders, tape measures, hammers, and screw drivers - Able to read job orders - Basic math - Read/understand/communicate in English - A positive attitude, great attendance, and the ambition to work long hours and to be a team player QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.
