The Inventory Control Specialist at Tagawa Greenhouse Enterprises LLC plays a key role in processing information related to inventory and soft good procurement. Additionally, this position will be responsible for processing and managing seed inventory based on volumes required in the greenhouse. This position communicates to multiple different teams, including Production teams, Inventory teams, Suppliers, and managers to ensure we can procure and process soft goods inventory required to fulfill orders in our business. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, strong communication skills, impeccable record-keeping skills, and can act as a liaison between both greenhouse and administrative teams. This position requires data entry, order processing, and inventory functions experience. In addition to the duties and responsibilities identified below, there are three major components of every job at Tagawa Greenhouses: teamwork, communication, and vision. Essential Functions/Duties: - Production processing - Process seed as volume warrants - Complete production verifications - Complete inventory verification - Assist Soft Goods Procurement Manager & specialists to complete paperwork - Communicate detailed information and numbers to other administration groups, greenhouse teams, and other clients/customers/vendors - Update inventory numbers and data using both MS Excel and current inventory operating systems - Pull seed from seed inventory, record information, verify the accuracy, and general labeling of the product - Respond to problems regarding quality of inventory and communicate any issues as instructed by the Soft Goods Procurement manager - Ensure that soft goods are available for teams in time to effectively sow/plant product on a weekly basis. - Assist in analyzing information regarding inventory history and performance - Process soft goods as required to maintain accurate inventory - Complete paperwork required to manage soft goods inventory APPLY HERE The Inventory Control Assistant may specialize in either vegetative cuttings or seed inventory. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Seed Room Assistant will be required to assist with various projects around the greenhouse as needed. At times, it would be expected to assist with other departments and greenhouse labor as instructed by the Soft Goods Procurement Manager. Basic Minimum Requirements/Competencies - Must be at least 17 years of age and eligible to work in the United States - Must have at least 1-2 years’ experience in one of the following areas: o Greenhouse Administration o Data-Entry or Order Processing o Soft goods inventory - Language & Communication Skills o Must maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere by acting and communicating to clients, customers, managers, co-workers, and Greenhouse staff in a respectful manner. o Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business forms and professional documents in English. Bilingual English and Spanish is a major plus to this role. o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled forms. - Must have basic to intermediate computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with AS400 or database software preferred but not required. - All employees must follow the safety guidelines and procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Enterprises, use equipment and materials correctly for their intended purpose, and determine appropriate action for dealing with all situations that may arise. - Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. To prevent injury, employees must abide by the safety procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Ent., LLC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
