Description

Irrigation Technician is responsible for inspection and maintenance of irrigation systems on commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities include: - Irrigation Activations / winterization - Effectively assess water efficiency and make adjustments to quickly correct over or under watering. - Perform irrigation system checks and perform irrigation repairs as needed. - Trouble shoot standard wire and all 2 wires in field and at controller - Sprinkler system diagnosis and repair - Install and trouble shooting and program Controllers/Timers/Clocks - Write out bills and a description of work performed - Perform additional tasks as necessary - SNOW REMOVAL Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: - Valid drivers license with clean driving record - Must be able to understand, read, write and speak fluent English - Ability to use computer, tablet and knowledge of emails and texting - Experience working productively with little supervision - Strong organizational skills. - Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional long hours as needed - 2-5 years industry experience - Knowledge of irrigation system, irrigation parts and proper names - Ability to use a wire locator - Ability to program an irrigation controller with multiple taps - Ability to install an irrigation controller - Ability to solder copper pipes and use of all irrigation tolls such pvc saws, poly cutters, 521 or newer wire locator, screw drivers, shovels, trenchers, skid steer Working Conditions: - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, kneel, crawl, use a two-step stool, bend and twist at waist, work overhead, sitting, and laying on ground - Prolonged sitting, standing and walking.
