ISO young small dog

I am looking for a young small dog that gets along with cats and dogs. Kids isn't a factor. Doesn't need to be a purebred, I don't care about that. I need it to be playful with my 3 year old, but also chilled out enough for my mellow household. I don't really go for many walks but when the ground isn't gross we do go to the dog park or there's an area by my house where they can run that is not fenced in. I do not have a fenced in yard but I have been able to train all of the dogs I've had to stay in the yard or at least not bother the neighbors. House trained would definitely be preferred but I can work on that if not. Would prefer a female but not required. Fixed and utd on shots is preferred as well. I can provide vet references if necessary.
