OUR COMPANY Peter Corvallis Productions is the largest full-service event rental and design company in the Northwest. We design and rent equipment for corporate events, weddings, festivals, trade shows and more. Ours is a fast-paced, creative and collaborative company, where we work hard and have fun! THE POSITION We are looking for a person who is strong, dependable and has both a positive attitude. POSITION SUMMARY: A Props/Production Assistant will support event planning stages from shaping and executing event design and concepts to on-site installation with a strong focus on maintaining event props. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: •Preparation of props for upcoming orders; pulling, repairing as necessary, cleaning and packaging for safe travel. •Receive props returning to the warehouse. Check for shortages or damages, report as necessary and restock. •Set up and Strike events; help direct equipment and prop setup. •Use creative and hands-on skills to repair props or create new ones with cost effective and/or salvaged materials. •Assist event rental consultants with upcoming events - offer prop suggestions based on inventory available or conceptualize props to be built. •Research design needs, rental items and decor - use findings to provide feedback about new items needing to be added to the warehouse. •Organize prop warehouse space - new spaces being developed and existing spaces being organized further. •Conceptualize and arranges end cap and front office displays to encourage sales and aid in customer experience. •Preservation of event binders and paperwork. SKILLS: •Customer centric •Effective communicator •Problem solving capabilities •Flexibility in a fast paced work environment/ability to work under pressure •Professional appearance and manner Minimum Position Qualifications: •Valid Drivers License. •Must be able to lift approximately 50 LBS. Must have full range of motion and dexterity. •Handy work and creative crafting skills. •Computer skills, including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign a plus. •Ability to move with purpose and urgency. •Flexibility to work occasional weekends. •Accuracy, organization and attention to detail. •Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form. •Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive feedback when necessary. •Ability to pass a drug test. PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE: •Two years related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in retail design, hospitality or event industry.
