It is particularly used when a word or phrase has connotations associated with it that one party to an argument prefers to avoid. There is a difference in the meanings of words especially as it relates to things that are considered to be criminal in nature. If one was charged with a 1st degree (home) burglary you won't find as part of the evidence against the robber that there was not anyone in the home at the time the crime was being committed since 1st degree (home) burglary specifically refers to a robbery being committed at a residence when there is someone (a victim) at the home. However in the evidence for 2nd degree burglary you wont find that there was someone home at the time of the crime (unless the 2nd degree burglary charge is part of a negotiated plea agreement that's accepted by the Court). #2 People died that day because they chose to place themselves in a situation that could result in someone's life ending. They are all resonsible for their own actions. Trump did not force those folks to do what they did on January 06, 2021. Trump's words that day were such that I think any intellectually honest & informed person would consider as goading by and through nefarious lies. IMO, there's no doubt the inflammatory words of Donald J Trump did create a hostile situation. Then He went and hid like a chicken. It didnt help things at all the rhetoric spewing, pathologically lying, Rudy Guiliani tells an already amped up & duped group that "We should have a trial by Combat". He says this while standing next to the soon to be ex commander in chief of the United States of America (Donald J. Trump) whom apparently can't stand hearing the words "YOURE FIRED" being spoken 7 million times more loudly than Biden was told by the voters "No, we don't want you as POTUS". #3 How do you know those who died that day wouldn't have died on that day if Trump didnt say what he said. One could walk out of a grocery store, have a heart attack and die right in the parking lot. One could cross the street and be killed by a drunk driver. No one is promised their next breath and no one is entitled to their alleged next one either.
