Description

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am at a loss of what to do which is why I am here posting. We have a male Texas Heeler that we need to find a new home for. Why ? What are the reasons ? He will not allow my other dog to eat and she has lost a ton of weight. He will go straight to her bowl of food even with me standing next to it and chasing him away, he will growl at me so I know that he is developing a food aggression. I can not have that in and I do not have time for a trainer to help work out why and resolve the issue. I have a special needs child with am orthopedic condition so if he were to growl at her or try to go after her she would not be able to get away quick enough. He is by no means visious and has never bit anyone but I don't want it to get to that point. He also needs more space. He has torn up his outdoor kennel and will not stay in a fenced in yard, he jumps right over our 5 foot fence. We are very close to a busy road and I am terrified I will find him dead along the road one day. He was an indoor dog for a year but once we moved in with my sister we had to move him and my other dog outside. He does ok with being in the house but is very hyper which comes with the breed. He is partially potty/house trained but if you don't pay attention to him he will have an accident. He is crate trained. Will go all thru the night without an accident. He has had all of his first shots up to a year old, I do not have the paper work for them as we did them ourselves. He is due for his annual 7 in 1 shot and his rabies shot. He has flea medicine on, it is Frontline brand. He is not fixed He is a gorgeous boy but I don't want him hit by a car or even shot by my sisters neighbors who absolutely hate dogs and have threatened us several times already that they would if they see him running again. He would do best in a home without small children or any children at all, he jumps a lot and is very hyper and has shown signs of food aggression. If you choose to bring him into your home with children and they get bit or hurt from being knocked over I can not be held responsible because I am making this clear that there is a possibility that he could snap or bite. He needs room to run, a lot of space or daily outings that I just can not do with having my child who is hardly able to walk right now. There will be a small rehoming fee for him and a vet reference to make sure you will take care of him and are committed to giving him a good home. I do have a photo of him that I will send upon request if you seriously would like to add him to your family. He is a good boy but needs some work put into him and I truly don't have the time for it. I can be reached by TEXT only, I do not have calling time on my phone, at 240- three 4 four- 1 five 2 nine Thank you
