The annual golf tournament benefitting NH Humane Society's Emergency Animal Fund. Lifesaving care for homeless animals in need. Our first major event for 2022 will be the 2nd Annual Compassion Tournament on May 23rd at Laconia Country Club. Last year's sold-out event raised $34,000 for our life-saving work. More than 100 golfers kicked off the golf season while supporting our important mission. We are on par to have a sold-out event again this year with lots of promotion through our marketing partner, Laconia Daily Sun, as well as extensive digital and social media posts, and inclusion in New England Pet and Home magazine. This annual golf tournament benefits the Willow Fund - the emergency animal fund at NH Humane. Since NH Humane saves homeless animals, there aren't families able to provide care and help cover costs. We cover those expenses to save lives and the cost of that care can be expensive. That is especially true with special cases and serious injuries. The Willow Fund makes it possible to save hurt, abused, neglected pets and get them to forever homes after receiving the compassionate care they deserve. Participant registration will begin at 11:00am with a shotgun-start at 12:00pm. All participants are encouraged to bid in the silent auction prior to teeing off. Auction items are sourced from locally owned businesses and NH Humane is grateful to be able to celebrate the generosity of business owners in our region who love animals! The day of golf will conclude with a post-tournament reception with live music, cocktails, concluding remarks, and silent auction winners.
