Buzzi Unicem USA, a major US cement manufacturer, is looking to fill a Barge Maintenance position in our Memphis, TN terminal. Responsibilities: Repair Barges and Barge Equipment: • Repair Cement Pumps as part of a team • Repair/Replace various Deck Fitting and Cables • Repair/Replace Blowers and Dust Collectors Unload Barges: • Help spot at dock • Hook-up hoses and electrical cables to barges • Start unloading equipment • Continuously monitor the unloading process • Safely operate manual unloading gates, air valves and blowers. Perform routine maintenance of terminal buildings, equipment and grounds as instructed by Terminal Manager Adhere to company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner Clean all areas of the barges, terminal and grounds Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required • Ability to work near water • Ability to lift 75 – 100 pounds on a regular and repeated basis • Ability to bend, use broom and shovel • Ability to lift and move large electrical cables and plugs for electrical connections • Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold • Ability to work in enclosed areas, such as barges, dust collectors, and pump pits • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass • Ability to work 12 hour shifts, up to 7 days a week • Ability to work alone at night without immediate supervision • Ability to read and comprehend safety and operating instructions AN UPDATED RESUME IN WORD OR PDF FORMAT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION Buzzi Unicem USA offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits including 401k.
