At 4 years old, Kristen is still learning to trust new people. She loves to hang out with her feline friends in the playroom, but is a little unsure of the people as they enter and reach out to pet her. She has made friends with the volunteers that she sees on a regular basis, so we are sure that she will become best buddies with her family. Kristen would prefer a home without young kids or too many loud noises. If you are willing to give Kristen a little time to warm up to you and her new surroundings, she will be your next best friend! An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS cats are spayed/neutered and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. All cats and kittens are tested for FIV/FELV. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
