Description

Light up your wardrobe! Learn how to sew LEDs into circuits on fabric and make them glow, pulse or blink. Light up your clothes with wearable LEDS- No sewing or programming experience required! In this 3-part class, you will use a sewable microcontroller, a rechargeable battery, 15 sewable LEDs of various colors, and conductive thread to add light and magic to a small garment (like a hat or a vest). First, we’ll practice sewing circuits on scrap fabric so you get the hang of how it works. Next, you will bring in your garment, we’ll plan your project and you will draw your circuits. Once you have a plan you will sew your circuits on your garment, we’ll load the code on the microcontroller and make the magic happen. Ages 14+ Sign Up Today May 12th, 19th, and 26th 6-8 PM at Spark Makerspace 7 Union St New London CT 06320 "
