Celebrating being TGNC centering those in the GLOBAL SOUTH- TRANSGENDER DAY OF VISIBILITY We are honored to cordially invite TGNCI folx to the 1st annual International Transgender Day of Visibility- GLOBAL SOUTH. The location is SparkleSocial SF in San Francisco 601 Mission Bay Boulevard North, San Francisco, CA 94158 on March 31st from 12-2.30pm PST. Trans Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice. Come join us for a celebration of Transgender identities everywhere, centering the ones in Global South. This reality not only makes life tumultuous for both openly or closeted Transgender individuals in the Global South, the chances of encountering Trans-friendly sentiments in these regions are also close to non-existent. Ensuring the fundamental human rights of the Transgender people who live in these regions are guaranteed is imperative for activists and human beings all over the world. Join us for a casual lunch and hangout afternoon with transgender community. Experience the art, cultures and struggles of the transgender community of the global south living right here in America and struggling to exist in their intersectional existence. Lunch tickets will be provided to each attendee to get food for their choice of food truck stationed at the SPARK Social SF is a food truck park, beer & sangria garden, and event space located in the heart of San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood. RSVP is required. and this is a Trans centering event. Only 50 spots available.
