Our Friday series focusing on intriguing winemakers continues as we spotlight Lava Cap Winery in the El Dorado AVA (Sierra Foothills). Lava Cap is a family-owned winery in Placerville, CA. Beginning with their first vintage in 1986, Lava Cap has won a steady stream of awards and recognition from across the country. Nestled in the Sierra Foothills, the volcanic soils are ideally suited for the production of fine wines. Their winemaker will be here at SLO Wine & Beer Company pouring an amazing line-up including the Barbera, Merlot, Petit Sirah, Old Vine Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon...plus a special surprise pour from SLO Wine & Beer Company owner Aaron Warren!
