Local Miss America Preliminary Competition to Miss Iowa and Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen! The first annual Miss Black Hawk Valley Scholarship Competition will be held at Waterloo’s Tama Hall Hawse Auditorium on March 20th at 4:00 p.m. Phases of competition include Miss/Teen Talent, Teen Lifestyle & Wellness, Miss/Teen Private Interview, Miss On-Stage Interview, Miss Social Impact Statement, Teen Evening Gown/On-Stage Question, & Miss Red Carpet. This is a dual local preliminary competition to Miss Iowa & Miss America!! Winners will receive scholarships & become official candidates for Miss Iowa and Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen!
