Each year, Landlord Forum highlights resources, leaders, and ideas to help make sure every resident relationship is successful. Special feature: This year's event includes a special focus on mental health crisis intervention and the latest update on services available in the community to support people experiencing distress. Free parking is available on 5th Street or in the lot behind the Valley Junction Activities Center (enter off 4th Street). View more Location Information Featuring a special focus on mental health crisis intervention in our communityLearn how to respond and who to call if you need supportAnnie Uetz, Program Planner, Polk County Health Services who will provide an overview of services available from the community to support people with developmental and intellectual disabilities or mental illness, including those who are experiencing short term crisis. Sgt. Lorna Garcia, Des Moines Police Department, on an innovative partnership to provide 24 hour mental health crisis intervention in partnership with Broadlawns Medical Center. The partnership will ultimately support children, teens, and adults in crisis by providing more options beyond taking a person in crisis to the hospital or to jail. Gain insights to ensure every resident succeedsPartnership, collaboration, and communication are the drivers of resident success, and Landlord Forum allows you to meet service providers, and ask questions. Angie Arthur, Executive Director of Homeward, moderates a panel focused on strategies and solutions to ensure resident success among people facing unique housing situations.
