Learn all about growing shiitake mushrooms from start to finish at this hands on workshop!
Learn all you need to know about growing your own shiitake and wine cap mushrooms, gain hands on experience in starting mushroom logs, with the option to buy and take 1 or 2 logs home! Your logs will yield potentially 2 lbs or more for 5 years!
The workshop will be conducted by the team at Sweet Peas Urban Gardens, managers of the garden. Tami Purdue and Connor Purdue-Leary are very knowledgeable with plenty of previous workshop experience and this is a great place for you to begin.
After the workshop, we will have a shiitake pizza lunch for all attendees to enjoy and further get to know the community here at our new gardens.
Tickets are limited so please register in advance.
Tickets: $25/person, Take home a log $35/log, 2 for $40.

The outdoors is a haven during these times of hunkering down. As such, we are holding workshops and events with the proper safety measures in place.
If you are unwell, please stay home and take care of yourself. If you decide to join us, we ask all attendees to wear a mask and/or social distance as possible. We have hand-sanitizing stations and Clorox wipes to keep everything disinfected. We wash all our work gloves after each use, should you choose to use those.
We are limiting attendance so we can make sure we all have enough room to maintain a proper distance. We want you all to enjoy the bounty of the garden without worrying about your safety. Make sure to register through Eventbrite to claim your spot.
