PEABODY, MA — Live music is back in the Peabody Institute Library as part of its Spring Concert Series. The library will host Somerville singer/songwriter and former Peabody Schools counselor Karen Grenier in the Sutton Room on March 28 at 7 p.m. at the main library location. The Spring Concert Series is sponsored by the Peabody Institute Library Foundation and the McCarthy Family Foundation. While the performance is free, those attending must register in advance on the library calendar here. A former guidance counselor for Peabody Public Schools, Grenier is currently Elementary Dean of Students for Somerville Public Schools. "You've got to reach for your dreams and do what you love," she said. "It's an attitude I've always tried to inspire in my students." Her setlist will include original work and cover songs that she said inspired her along her path. Karen's concert will feature her original work along with a few favorite songs that have inspired her along her path.
