MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach Santa Float, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, will be traveling through the neighborhoods starting tonight, the Manhattan Beach Police Department announced Monday. The neighborhood routes generally start around 4:45 p.m., police said. Police said residents should expect heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the float. "Unfortunately Santa and his Elves do not come out in inclement weather," MBPD said. "You will have to catch them on another route if it is raining on the day of your route. Drive safely and Happy Holidays!" See where the float is in real time by viewing the live Santa float tracker at www.manhattanbeachsantafloat.com/santa-tracker/.
