Here are the top 3 stories in Buffalo today: The Buffalo Pride Parade and Pride Festival will return as in-person events this year. Previously, the events were held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but organizers are looking forward to having a safe, public event this year. The Pride Parade will start at the corner of Elmwood and Forest on Jun. 5 and other local events will be held throughout Buffalo during the week. (WIVB.com - News 4) Another three Buffalo-area Starbucks locations voted to unionize this week. According to reports, locations in Cheektowaga, Amherst, and Depew have voted to unionize. Previously, the locations on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo and Genesee Street in Cheektowaga voted to unionize. (WETM - MyTwinTiers.com) Buffalo is the current frontrunner for the annual Golden Snowball. The competition typically takes place between five New York cities—Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Albany—to see which will receive the most snow. Many of the other cities fell several inches below average, but Buffalo has received 87.5 inches of snow in 2022 as of Mar. 10.
