A Musical is based on the interviews with ordinary people first conducted by oral historian and radio broadcaster Studs Terkel in 1974. Waitresses, Fast Food, Workers, Housewives, Factory Workers, Truck Drivers , Cleaning People, Farm Workers and Elder Care Workers all talk openly and honestly about what they do all day and how they feel about what they do. Through narratives told in music and dance, this production recognizes and honors the everyday people who labor with their hands and hearts and each day dedicate their lives to building a better and stronger tomorrow for us all.
