"The person was upgraded to stable condition," said Sgt. Jason Chandler, a public information officer with the Fairfax County Police Department.
FCPD officers responded around 12 noon on Wednesday to the scene of the crash at Wiehle Avenue and Baron Cameron Avenue.
In addition to the passenger who was seriously injured, three other occupants involve in the crash were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Chandler did not have information about their conditions on Thursday morning.
