DARIEN, CT — Center Street in Darien is closed between Post Road (Rt. 1) and Old Kings Highway South due to a downed utility pole and power lines, police said Thursday morning. In a Facebook post, police said around 9 a.m. utility and emergency crews are working in the area. They also noted there have been local commercial power outages as a result of the issue. Drivers are asked to avoid the area, according to police. Check back later for further updates.
