NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — This Saturday, the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners will raise the Ukrainian national flag outside the county administration building in New Brunswick.
The flag raising is to show solidarity with the local Ukrainian community to call for peace, according to Commissioners Ronald Rios and Charles Kenny, who will hold a brief ceremony Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
The Ukrainian flag will go up on the corner of Bayard Street and Elm Row in New Brunswick. All are welcome to attend.
Middlesex County will also be accepting donations from the public to support Ukrainian refugees. Items can include non-perishable foods, personal care items, electronics/batteries, clothing for all ages, toys, etc. You can bring them on Saturday to the Middlesex County Administration building (75 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901).
