Description

Free dinner and interfaith program celebrating the City of St. Petersburg as a community of love, common ground, and compassion. Each year we host an Iftar Dinner at the Coliseum for over 800 community members from various faiths, and all walks of life, to break down barriers and find common ground. Together we can rekindle our innate desire as humans to connect with one another in productive and meaningful ways, and re-discover the spirit that unites us as "We The People" of St. Petersburg. In the Muslim faith, the holy month of Ramadan is about reflection, community, giving and prayer. Each night we break the month’s daily fast with a celebratory Iftar dinner shared with family and friends. In the City of St. Petersburg, Florida, where the sun shines on us all, we want to share this experience by breaking bread together as one interfaith and interconnected community. Please join us Thursday, April 14th for a free dinner, guest speaker and interfaith program celebrating St. Pete as a community of love and compassion.
