Press release from the South Bend Community School Corporation: 03/09/2022 Sixteen elementary schools are holding events for incoming kindergarten students Sixteen elementary schools are holding events for incoming kindergarten students Families with children turning five on or before August 1, 2022, are invited to attend the corporation's annual Kindergarten Roundup events on Thursday, April 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Families can visit schools on either or both days at the following South Bend Community School Corporation and South Bend Empowerment Zone schools:   Families will have the opportunity to learn about the kindergarten programs at the schools, meet the teachers and staff, and become familiarized with the various educational spaces available at each school. Families can register their children for kindergarten at the event, or they can register their children online at any time.
