LANGHORNE, PA — St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne has been named one of the best hospitals in Pennsylvania by U.S. News and World Report.
The hospital was ranked the 17th-best hospital in the state in the magazine's recently released 2020-21 "Best Hospitals" list. It was one of 232 hospitals in Pennsylvania ranked for the list.
In the rankings, St. Mary was listed as "high performing" in four specialties — chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement.
St. Mary also was ranked No. 11 on the list of best hospitals in the Philadelphia area — a metro area that includes Camden, N.H. and Wilmington, Del.
"We at St. Mary Medical Center are thrilled to be recognized for our dedication to high-quality, compassionate care," said Dr. Larry Brilliant, president of St. Mary Medical Center. "Each day, our colleagues provide the whole-person care our community has come to love and expect. To be acknowledged for our steadfast commitment to patient-centered care is rewarding."
U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 26 adult specialties, procedures and conditions.
