Rob then joined Wescast Industries, where he worked for 15 years in various plant and corporate positions. His last position at Wescast was Managing Research and Development. In 2008, Rob joined Elkem Materials as National Account Manager and for the past 6 years he has been the Technical Services Manager for North America. Rob is a Materials Engineering and MBA Graduate from McMaster University with 35 years of experience. He lives in Mooresville, NC. Matt Liptak: Bachelors of Science Degree in Materials Science from Michigan State University, 1993 CMI Cast Parts, Cadillac Michigan a cupola melt ductile iron shop 7years (including 2 years co-op prior to BS degree) as Metallurgist. Automotive castings, mainly suspension parts (knuckles, control arms) and manifolds. Horizontal green sand molding Wheland Foundry, Chattanooga TN a cupola melt ductile iron shop 3 years as Technical Director. Automotive and heavy truck castings, mainly brake calipers and anchors, suspension parts. Vertical green sand molding. Buck Foundry, Lancaster, PA a job-shop pouring ductile iron, grey iron, malleable iron, brass, and aluminum. Served as Quality Manager for 2 years. Made everything from hubs for Amish buggies to valve bodies for the US Navy. Horizontal green sand molding both automatic and hand molding Great Lakes Castings, Ludington, MI a cupola melt grey iron shop, 3 years as Metallurgist/Melt Manager. Automotive brake master cylinders, industrial valve bodies, door closer valve bodies. Vertical and horizontal green sand molding. Cadillac Castings, Cadillac Michigan, 4.5 years as Metallurgist/Melt Manager. Automotive castings, mainly suspension parts (knuckles, control arms) and manifolds.
