"Releasing Music" Thursday, March 10, 2022 6:30 PM 7:30 PM Learn strategies for releasing music from Abi Sparkman. Abi Sparkman is an Anchorage-based guitarist and songwriter who fronts the band, SunDog. Additionally, Abi is a music teacher and is currently earning her degree in Marketing at UAA. "DIY Recording" Thursday, March 17, 2022 6:30 PM 7:30 PM Recording engineer Derek Haukaas will teach do-it-yourself methods for accessible sound and music recording. Derek Haukaas is the senior audio and recording engineer at Frostline Studios. Derek is also an acclaimed session drummer. Now based in Spenard, Derek studied music in Australia for several years and has experience with both live concerts and studio audio. Booking & Promotion Thursday, March 24, 2022 6:30 PM 7:30 PM Emma Hill will share booking and promotion strategies to effectively promote your music and shows. Emma Hill is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has hosted concerts and music programs such as Spenard Song Circle at The Nave since its Church of Love days. Emma recently released her 7th studio album Magnesium Dreams (2019), and is also hosting Spenard Song Circle 2022 at The Nave!
