The focus of this conference is on the conditions to bridge academic and social emotional success in K-12 schools. The goal is to bring together educators, policymakers, and researchers who are engaging in schoolwide improvement efforts around personalization for academic and social emotional learning (SEL). Topics that will be addressed include: initiatives to support schoolwide social and emotional learning, supporting the social and emotional success of educators as well as students, student, and educator mental health, the use of data and digital tools for academic and social emotional success, planning for sustainability in SEL initiatives, the role of teacher leadership, trauma-informed supports, fostering student belonging, and the role of equity and inclusion for SEL initiatives.
