Cranston Police Looking For Gas Station Robbery Suspect

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police are looking for a woman they said was involved in an armed robbery at a gas station in January. The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 7, at the Ocean State Mobil gas station on Elmwood Avenue. As of Thursday, one man has been arrested, Izaiah M. Rivera Richard, 19, who was charged with first-degree robbery. Richard is accused of threatening the store clerk with a knife and demanding all the money in the cash register. He then drove away in a car heading east on Park Avenue, police said. The car had been reported stolen from the parking lot of a Providence restaurant earlier that day, police said, and was later found abandoned by Providence police. Police said they are still looking for the woman pictured above and feel strongly the public can help identify her. Anyone with information is asked to call Cranston police at 401-477-5039
