Pittsburgh Shooting Victim Leads Police On Car Chase

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man shot Tuesday night in Hazelwood led police on a police chase for several miles. Pittsburgh police responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of Frayne Street at around 9:45 p.m. They discovered a man with a suspected gunshot wound who got into a vehicle and fled. Due to his suspected wounds, police pursued the vehicle until it stopped in traffic on the Homestead Grays Bridge near The Waterfront. Officers aided the man until paramedics arrives and transported him to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. A discarded firearm was found on the bridge.
