1813 Building Corporation Job Description – Club Manager Under the general direction of the 1813 Building Corporation Board of Directors, Club Manager will manage the smooth running of our food service and bar operations. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old.Minimum seven to ten years experience in foodservice/bar managementPrevious supervisory experienceValid Illinois Food Service Sanitation License required; BASSET Certification preferredSelf motivated individual with excellent communication skillsAbility to lift up to 80 lbs.Must have reliable transportation Duties and Responsibilities Forecast and order required bar and foodservice inventory. Meet with suppliers to discuss pricing and product trends. Strive to obtain product at best overall cost. Schedule expenditures according to need. Audit deliveries, take corrective actions when necessary. Ensure product is stored in accordance with best practicesRecruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees. Communicate job expectations. Enforce Policies and Procedures. Responsible for staff productivity and morale.Ensures safe, secure and healthy environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and proceduresAttend monthly Building Corporation meeting. Provide summary of monthly activity, escalate any issues.Manage Hall Rental per Building Corporation guidance. Ensure events are executed per contract.Ensure staff works in a harmonious manner to deliver excellent product and service to our customersUnderstands product cost and recommends menu and pricing changes to Board of DirectorsEnsures alcohol purchases and sales conform to governing laws and ordinancesControls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparationEnsures overall cleanliness of facility through direction of staff and service providers, escalates any issues promptly to Building CorporationMaintains ambience by controlling lighting, background music, dinnerware and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and serviceUnderstand agencies (Health Department, Liquor Control, etc) that license and inspect the premises, participate in inspections with the agency and review completed inspections with Building Corporation. Take or recommend necessary action to remediate or improve inspection scores.Ensure operation complies with all Federal, State and Local regulationsResolves customer issues escalated by staffDuring slow periods, assign staff responsibilities to maximize productivity and ensure excellent customer experienceEnsure all end of shift responsibilities are completed by staffSecure money and transaction information, communicate any exceptions to TreasurerResearch and recommend to the Board of Directors opportunities to grow or expand the business.Promote and plan special events for the clubPerform other duties as assigned by Board of Directors Hours Hours will be set by the 1813 Building Corporation Board of Directors To apply, e-mail resume to [email protected]
