Re-Homing beautiful Siamese/ Himalayan Kitty

Beautiful Siamese / Himalayan to rehome This is a special needs kitty. He is almost 1 year old, neutered and chipped. He is up to date on vaccines / rabies. He gets very excited and overstimulated with our rambunctious goldens and unpredictable movements from my toddler granddtr. This turns into displaced aggression that we have not been able to resolve (although much better than a few months ago). It breaks my heart to have to rehome him as I think he will become a wonderful cat in time. He is great one to one and seeks attention and caressing on his terms; he lets you know when he is done. He is not a pick me up and cuddle cat, although I can pick him up and pet him for a few minutes ( again- great gains from a few months ago). He does get along with our other animals but our young golden often causes startle behavior to him - again resulting in displaced aggression. I cannot bring myself to take him to the Humane Society and have him freak out to where they will not be able to find a good home for him. The Animal friends alliance can't take him- at least not at this time apparently. I have contacted another shelter and awaiting a call back.
