If you’re looking for a new best friend- meet Drogo! He is an absolute gem of a dog, in search of a forever home. Drogo is 4 years old, and has been an outside dog for all of his life. His original owners have been unable to provide the time and attention he deserves; so my partner and I are fostering him temporarily to help him find a new home where he will receive companionship and attention. He's been with us now for about two weeks and has transitioned seamlessly to being an inside dog! He is 100% potty trained and hasn’t had a single accident inside our home. He is used to being crated at night, and goes in without a fuss :) As much as I wish we could adopt him, we already have our hands full with 3 dogs of our own. This is one seriously smart dog! He has quickly picked up on the rules of the house without any official training. He waits patiently to be fed and stays when people come in and out of the front door. He absolutely LOVES riding in the car and sits nicely in back. When left home unattended he’s never done anything destructive… He just chills! My favorite thing about Drogo (besides his handsome face) is how loyal he is. I don’t even have to put him on a leash coming to or from the car or even walking out to check the mail. He stays right by my side and always comes when I call him. In general, he’s a mid to low energy dog. However, if he has another dog friend to play with, he will romp and run for hours! I’d love to see him go to a home with another dog- but that’s not a requirement. I’ve been doing a 45 minute walk most days, and that is enough to tire him out. He’s an absolute love-bug and enjoys as much affection as he can get. He has been around kids a lot and is great with them! And he’s been friendly towards every dog I’ve introduced him to. He weighs about 80 lbs, fixed, and is up to date on all of his shots.
