Description
Keyboardist or sequencer/software-based or other type of soundscape musician sought by critically acclaimed original female-fronted pop/rock band. The music is hooky, radio friendly rock with an edge - pop hooks and flavorings together with heavier, more progressive shades. There are also occasional odd time signatures, tempo changes and ethnic/middle-eastern sounding parts. Essentially pop/rock, but with interesting twists. Some of the music and more information about the band is available at www.whirlmusic.com. We are looking for someone who can either play live or trigger pre-recorded parts, who is good with creating soundscapes, ambient layers, etc.
Rehearsals in El Dorado Hills.
The right individual would have:
* good dynamics and lots of textured synth-y/ambient sounds
* the ability to play for the song; willingness/ability to learn some existing parts where needed
* decent gear
* transportation
* reliability
* studio and live experience
* enthusiasm to go out and play some shows as well as do recording
No sessioners please. It's a "for fun" kind of project at this point in time.
If you're interested:
* Please visit www.whirlmusic.com first and listen to the material.
* If interested, please email with some basic info about you (experience, bands you've played with, musical style, influences, etc.), and a link to a video or recordings that you've played on.
Thanks!
