Here are the top five stories in Toledo today: 63-year-old Spilios Pappas was sentenced to 9 years in prison for healthcare fraud in Lucas County. Pappas was convicted in 2020 by over-prescribing opioids along with 15 other individuals in Ohio and is ordered to pay $32 million in restitution. (WTOL)An 8-year-old girl was arrested for using mace against students and faculty at Toledo Preparatory Academy on Wednesday morning. Toledo Police arrested the student, who is charged with safe school assault. (WTVG)A driver and passenger are dead after their vehicle crashed into a semi-truck on I-75 in an attempt to evade Toledo Police. The chase began in North Toledo and continued on the highway, when the driver turned and traveled southbound in the northbound lanes before colliding with the semi. (WNWO NBC 24)A Marine veteran from Northwest Ohio is prepping for the journey to Ukraine to help fight against Russia's war.
