MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Five reported residential burglaries took place in Manhattan Beach during the week of Nov. 23-29, according to a report from the Manhattan Beach Police Department. In addition, one auto theft occurred as did 16 thefts and two assaults.
The assaults occurred in the 400 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and the 3500 block of The Strand. The thefts involved a golf cart, three catalytic converters, one shoplifting arrest and two unlocked vehicles.
Three unlocked garages played a role in three of the residential burglaries and one burglary involved a bike. In addition, there was one attempt to steal a vehicle, according to the MBPD report. The reported auto theft was at Manhattan Beach Boulevard and John Street.
