Two creative writers to be published

Two Lyons Township High School Creative Writing students were recently notified that their work will be published in DePaul University's Blue Book: Best of Illinois High School Writing 2020-2021. The pieces were submitted last spring, but were just informed that two poems by (left) senior Jessica Quintero, of Brookfield, and a short story by Class of 2020 Maya Djurisic, of LaGrange, were accepted for the anthology. The winning pieces were chosen by graduate students in DePaul's Masters in Writing & Publishing Program. Last year's edition can be found at www.depaulsbluebook.com. This year's anthology will go live in January with a virtual launch to celebrate the edition and to give students a chance to read their work.
