FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Two Levittown-area municipalities received more than $1 million in state funds announced Tuesday for bridge and roadwork.
The money, announced by state Sen. Steve Santarsiero, is part of $487.5 million in PennDOT liquid fuel payments the state is releasing to municipalities for the work.
The local money announced was:
Falls Township - $944,743.96Tullytown Borough - $57,678.14The money will help maintain and fix up municipality-owned highways and bridges and pay for work like snow removal and repaving.
"The allocation of these funds is vital for the upkeep and maintenance of our public roads and bridges," Santarsiero said. "I'm glad to see so many municipalities in Senate District 10 will be benefiting from the program's increased funding."
