I-295 Lanes In Bucks Co. To Close Next Week

Lanes are scheduled to be closed in both directions on I-295 in Bucks County next week for crews to repair guard rails. PennDOT announced Thursday that the left-lane closures are scheduled between the Rt. 413 and U.S. 1 interchanges in Middletown and Bristol townships on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22. The lanes will be closed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., PennDOT said. The work will be done according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines and a project-specific coronavirus safety plan, the department said. That includes protocols for social distancing, use of face covering, cleaning and more. Motorists using I-295 in the area are advised to allow extra time when traveling because backups and slowdowns may occur. All scheduled work is dependent on the weather.
