Job description Mathnasium of North Lawrenceville is seeking passionate, dedicated, and exceptional math instructor to work with students K-12. The key areas of responsibilities include: Tutor students in math subjects up through at least Algebra 1 and Geometry.Communicate progress with parents- Learn and utilize the Mathnasium Method to work with students to strengthen skillsAbility to work after school until at least 7:30 pm.All materials are provided for the instructors and all work is performed at the learning center. Required Qualifications: Exceptional math skills through Algebra I and GeometryPassion for math and for working with kidsExcellent communicationAbility to multi-task efficiently Possess exemplary character and have strong leadership presence Ability to professionally interact with students and parentsEnergetic and confident personality Undergraduate Degree preferred but a college student in a math related or education field would be considered as would a high school student taking AP Calculus. Preferred Qualifications: Math tutoring: 1 Year Undergraduate degree preferred Learning center environment is supportive and encouraging. Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to success. Hours may vary, but could include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday –Thursday and Saturday mornings, approximately 8-16 hours per week (flexible). Compensation starts at $13-$15/hour, depending on experience and qualification.
