MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — This is the last weekend to participate in the Penguin Scavenger Hunt at Downtown Manhattan Beach businesses. The scavenger hunt lasts through Monday, Nov. 30. To participate, pick up a scavenger hunt card at any of the participating businesses and then search for the hidden penguin at all of the listed businesses. When you find the penguin, have the business stamp your card and move on to another participating merchant. The penguin could be in the window or inside, so look carefully. Thirty winners will be drawn on Tuesday, Dec. 1 from the scavenger hunt cards with the most completed squares, and each winner will receive a stuffed penguin and a $25 gift card to one of the participating businesses. For a Special Bonus, find the business in "The Secret Square" on the bottom right of the card. Clue: Dogs don't run here. If you go to the correct store, you'll be given a $1 Carrot Coin you can use at the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market on Tuesdays.
