LA GRANGE, IL — The La Grange Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the police reports: Sonny Hayes, 39, of La Grange, was arrested Dec. 12 on charges of aggravated assault of a police officer. He was accused of making threats to police officers in a Dec. 9 incident. La Grange Patch has filed a public records request for the police report. A resident in the 10 block of East 50th Street heard breaking glass about 1 a.m. Dec. 11 and noticed a neighbor's front picture window had a crack in it. A sign was damaged in the village's parkway between Dec. 11 and Dec. 14 in the 600 block of South La Grange Road. La Grange police took 27 reports of fraudulent unemployment claims between Dec. 11 and Dec. 18. Police departments around the state are experiencing a deluge of such reports. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
