Newton Flyers Track Club is in need of volunteer coaches. We are looking for a high jump/long jump coach, throws coach, and someone to just assist in all areas under the head coaches. Newton Flyers coaches athletes from grades 3rd-6th from mid March until Memorial Day. After the season is completed we moved onto the AAU season (June-August) and allow athletes up to 18 years old. We practice at Newton HS on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:45pm-6:45pm. Weekend meet attendance is optional. The facility has designated areas of specialty for quality practice. Our first day of practice is March 21st 2022. The club will cover your AAU membership that is required to coach with our team, you will also be provided with a t-shirt. What you will be responsible for: -The safety of our athletes -Always promoting an environment of positivity and encouragement -Writing your own programming if you take over a designated specialty -Communications with parents regarding your athletes and coaching style If you are interested or have questions please email Shelby with the email option below.
