Come and talk to the head and founder John Muster, present teachers, parents and past students. To give a feel for school life, events and trips enjoy a slide show presentation with the best cakes and lemonade Trader Joe's has to offer. Then take a guided tour around the school. Spread the word! The school is small, 20-30 students in total with the emphasis on individualized learning. This means the students work at their own pace and are given the time and attention they need to fully understand and complete their work to a high standard. Being such small class sizes (2-4,and often one on one) enables close working relationships with the mentors/teachers and because of this the physiological health, the happiness or unhappiness of the student is given the full attention and understanding needed. Students are encouraged to integrate socially in everyday school life, on our Spring and Fall retreats (5 day camps with recreational activities like hiking and whale spotting and life skills development like planning and cooking a meal) and with our Inter-Cultural Extraordinary Program an intense "study and on site experience" engaging another culture.
