This study may be done completely online & by telephone and compensates up to $370. If you take part in the study, you will be asked to: Participate in up to 3 study visits remotely (pending your due date, approximately 12 weeks apart). $100 for the first visit - approximately 2 hours $50 each for visits 2 and 3 - approximately 45 minutes each $100 at delivery and $10 for each of the completed brief monthly phone calls and $20 for one 20 min phone call 3 months after delivery. You may be eligible if you: - Are at least 18 years old - Are currently pregnant - Are planning to deliver at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA Locations in Springfield, MA: Wesson Women’s Clinic, Baystate Midwifery and Women’s Health Baystate OB/GYN Group, Inc, Valley Women’s Health Group, Women’s Health Associates and all locations of Baystate Women’s Health in Springfield, Northampton, Westfield, and Ware. AND one of the following: - Currently smoke cigarettes everyday OR - Currently use an electronic cigarette or vaping device everyday OR - Use both products This is a confidential, stigma-free observational only study, which means you won't be asked to change or quit smoking or vaping. There is no drug testing in this study. This study examines the effect of e-cigarette use compared to cigarette smoking during pregnancy on nicotine exposure and on birth outcomes (birth weight and gestational age).
