Drummer seeking band

Meets

Cincinnati OH

Description

I'm new to Cincinnati and looking to find a decent band. 36 years old, been playing for 25+ years. Have my own gear & transport. Also have a space for playing in our basement, but only during daylight hours.  Drumming influences include: Jon Theodore, Dave Grohl, John Bonham Favorite bands/artists include: Ty Segall White Denim Post Animal Battles St. Vincent Queens of The Stone Age Grizzly Bear Alabama Shakes TV On The Radio The Mars Volta What do I want to play? Anything in this universe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4uCvr5xPr4 But, honestly, I'm fairly flexible in terms of style. Videos of me from live shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZdnH29-MCw&ab_channel=ColdStaticBand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU32ix8UDl0&ab_channel=KyleStephenson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuc9lUQnVB8&t=166s&ab_channel=KyleStephenson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-47wBoxfk5s&ab_channel=KyleStephenson Sample of recorded stuff: https://crossbowsandcatapults.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/cities-of-enemies (Songs labelled "COE II") http://coldstaticband.com/SfyS.html What type of situation am I looking for? I have a 40+ hour/week job and two kids, so I have limited bandwidth/availability for anything past midnight or anything that requires travel. But, I would love to find a situation that includes practice 1x/week and a live show 1x/month. I don't need anyone playing at a "professional" level. Would just like to play with folks who have some talent, but don't take themselves too seriously.  I am fully Covid vaccinated, but have a son who is too young, so would request masking (and it's probably not worth it for us to meet if that seems like even a minor problem for you!).  If you're interested, please do contact me and send any links/samples of what you play. Kyle
