FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A man from Philadelphia was killed Monday evening when he was hit by a car while he was trying to cross Lincoln Highway in the Oxford Valley area. Kevin Edwards, 54, was crossing the highway near the IHOP at Oxford Point Shopping Center at 7:39 p.m., according to the Falls Township Police Department. He was hit by a 2009 Honda Accord in the highway's southbound lanes, police said. Edwards was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Bucks Hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to police Chief Nelson Whitney. The driver of the Honda, a 47-year-old man from Langhorne, stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Whitney said. The chief thanked crews from Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and emergency staff at Jefferson Bucks for their work after the crash.
