Del Toro Landscaping Inc. is currently hiring a Landscape Construction Superintendent. This position directs union employees in construction of erosion control and landscape installations for commercial projects with the majority of work focusing on transportation infrastructure projects, i.e. highways and airports. This position is responsible for coordinating all material, labor and equipment needs for the project schedule by maintaining close communication with the construction management team. Major Duties and Responsibilities • Communicate with construction manager for implementation of installations to meet the project schedule requirements. • Examine contract drawings and specifications with the ability to identify conflicts prior to crew mobilization • Plan procedures for installations to ensure all material, labor and equipment is provided to meet the project’s needs and adjust accordingly as required • Ensure daily progress of work maintains the schedules and is performed per the contract specifications with onsite supervision of crews • Prepare daily reports of material and labor used and ensure accurate measurement of all items installed • Work with operations management team and support personnel daily to plan and coordinate for the needs of all projects Job Qualifications • Three or more years of experience in leading landscape personnel • Basic understanding of all landscape equipment. Operator experience is a plus • Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus • Experience in IDOT, Tollway and Airport projects is a plus • Valid driver license without restrictions • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Call Elsa to discuss and set up interview 847-426-7200
